Connecting Up Australia (formerly CISA) provides community services and events information and is a national voice for the  nonprofit sector on information and communications technology (ICT) issues.

NEWS FROM THE SA COMMUNITY SECTOR

From 1 July 2009 changes will occur regarding the provision of employment services that formerly comprised the Job Network. Job Services Australia is the new name of the Australian Government program that will help job seekers to find work and employers to find workers with the skill that they need. More information about the providers who will be delivering employment services in South Australia is available from the Australian Jobsearch website.

Mobile Mayhem -  the Telecommunication Consumer Group SA Inc. invites mobile phone users to a seminar on Wednesday 17 June 2009 at 5.30pm, to hear about mobile premium services, unexpected charges from downloads and where to next with mobile telephony. Filipino Welfare Service Inc. is holding a forum at 10am on Wednesday 24 June 2009 to publicise the services it provides to help Filipino new arrivals with settlement and welfare assistance. The 2009-10 Arts SA Arts Directory, listing arts and cultural organisations in South Australia, is now available. Copies can be requested from ArtsSA artssa@dpc.sa.gov.au. The information is also available on the ArtsSA website.

CONNECTING UP CONFERENCE 09

Our annual Connecting Up Conference, held on 12-13 May 2009 in Sydney, was a great success.
