ACEDA Inc. has been formed through the amalgamation of Eating Disorders Association of SA Inc., Panic Anxiety Disorder Association Inc. and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders Support Service Inc. It provide information and support for people affected by panic and anxiety, eating disorders and or obsessive compulsive disorders. The Volunteer Support Fund 2009/10 provides grants that encourage volunteering and help community organisations to support their volunteer workers and programs. Not-for-profit community organisations may be eligible to apply for a grant of up to $3000 from this fund. Applications close at 5pm on Monday 12 October 2009. Community Food SA Inc. is a Christian-based not-for-profit organisation that supports people physically, emotionally and spiritually in times of financial need. Since 1990 it has operated a food centre at Kilburn, providing low-cost groceries with daily help from a team of volunteers. Community Food SA also offers work experience, cooking demonstrations and Arnold’s Place cafe. The No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS®) provides interest and fee free loans for individuals, families or couples living on a low income. NILS is a community-based initiative that enables people to access fair, safe and equitable credit for the purchase of goods and services. Loans are generally for the purchase of essential household items like a fridge, washing machine, TV, bed or clothes dryer.
