Equality is for Everyone!
Join SA Humanists together with LGBTI+ advocate Rodney Croome for a half day convention on Saturday 14th April from 1pm-5pm at Flinders University, 182 Victoria Square, Adelaide.
 
The Humanist Society of South Australia is co-hosting the Australian Humanist Convention in Adelaide on the 14th April. The event has been so popular that dinner is sold out but there are still tickets available for the afternoon session.
 
The conference theme is "Equality is for everyone", focussing on human rights and is presented with the support of like-minded organisations and clubs in South Australia. These groups include co-host Flinders University Secular Society and support from the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Flinders Pastafarians, and the Humanist Society of South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
 
About the Humanists
The Humanist Society of South Australia was established in the early 1960s and is an Incorporated Not-for-Profit association of non-religious people who seek a rational constructive approach to all human affairs.
 
Humanists advocates for a society with ethics based on Human rights and instrinsic human values and defends freedom and democracy.  The group acts to defend freedom of opinion and the expression of that opinion as well as every other civil liberty of the individual.
 
Humans have been involved in campaigns for progressive causes, historically in decriminalising homosexuality, no fault divorce and civil celebrants. Currently concerns include marriage equality, voluntary assisted dying and drug law reform.
