This year Gawler Community House, a member of Community Centres SA will be holding their sixth Christmas Day free lunchtime meal service. The meal attracts around 200 socially isolated residents. Volunteers serve up a hearty meal that is funded by donations from the local council and local organisations such as Ucare. Without their support, the day would not be so successful.

A pickup service is available for those who cannot make their own transport arrangements. It is extremely important that attendees register to enable the staff and volunteers to cater for the right amount of people. Father Christmas will be coming along and he needs to know how many children will be there so that no one misses out on a present.  Booking can be made in person at the Gawler Community house, or by telephoning 8522 4601 by Monday 19th December.
