Eligibility
Frail aged and younger people with disabilities and their carers living in Barossa or Light Regional councils. Note that with the exception of respite and long-term cleaning, clients are usually limited to a total of 16 hrs of service per year for all services

Services
- Home help - cleaning, both short and long-term may be available. Frequency and duration negotiated on the basis of assessed need. One-off intensive cleaning also available. Hourly rate $5 applies but can be waived in some circumstances. Also keep a list of private providers for people whodo not qualify for the service
- Home maintenance - minor works only, limited to health and safety purposes. Hourly fee $5 or donation for labour plus cost of materials. Also keep a list of private providers for people who do not qualify for the service
- Home modification - minor works only, limited to health and safety purposes. Hourly fee $5 or donation for labour plus cost of materials. Also keep a list of private providers for people who do not qualify for the service
- Shopping/banking - client can be accompanied or it can be done on their behalf. Hourly fee $5
- Personal alarms - may provide personal alarms or make arrangements with private suppliers. Fees apply
- Gardening - minor yard cleaning, no regular lawn mowing or extensive weeding. Small tasks may be negotiated. Water dripper systems installed for hourly fee plus contribution to cost of materials. Other tasks: Hourly rate $5 which can be waived. Also keep a list of private providers for people who do not qualify for the service
- Rubbish removal - hourly fee $5 plus dumping fees. Also keep a list of private providers for people who do not qualify for the service
- Safety and security assessment - free. Hourly fee or donation for labour plus cost of materials for any recommended work done subsequently
- Social support - assistance to participate in community activities. May include accompanying clients to social activities and provision of transport. Hourly fee or donation by negotiation.. See also Barossa Leisure Options
