Fees
A contribution is required for some services
Services
- Home help - cleaning available with priority given to people recently discharged from hospital. Short-term (fortnightly, maximum of 12 hours per year) and long-term (1 hour per fortnight). $8/hour ($11 for couples). Spring clean once a year per client (2-4 hours depending on budget)
- Shopping/banking - volunteers either accompany client or shop on their behalf; for banking, Subject to availability of volunteers.Accompanied shopping $8/hour; Unaccompanied shopping list $6.
- Home maintenance - minor works only. Priority given to safety and security requirements. Includes annual gutter clean. $8/hour ($11 for couples) labour + materials. Gutter cleaning charges apply
- Home modification - limited to grab rails and ramp installation folowing asessment by occupational therapist. $8/hour ($11 for couples) + materials cost and $15 gap fee for occupational therapist site assessment
- Rubbish removal - limited to once per year per household. $8/hour ($11 for couples) labour + dump fee
- Safety and security assessment - safety check of home only, performed in conjunction with SA Police. $8/hour ($11 for couples) labour + cost of materials
- Supported recreation - COMMUNITY LUNCH: Mon 12 - 2pm at Plympton Community Centre 34 Long St, Plympton Lunch $7.50/meal,transport $3. Entertainment and information sessions occur alternately. Bookings required.
- Transport - community bus provides door-to-door service for shopping, local library and recreational programs. One bus has wheelchair capacity and passengers assisted by driver as required. $3/return trip.
