- The Barossa Council plays a co-ordinating role. Immunisations are available through local Medical Clinics.
- Volunteering Barossa & Light

- A community service that provides informaton about volunteering opportunities and assists volunteers and community organisations with all aspects of volunteering. - Waste Management & Recycling
- Households in townships and rural areas are issued with a 140 litre wheelie bin for a compulsory weekly refuse collection.
- A kerbside 240 litre recycling wheelie bin is supplied for fortnightly collection of recyclable items for residential properties in most areas throughout the Council area. All bins should be placed on the kerbside the night before collection day.

- A Greenwaste Collection service can be arranged by contacting Northern Area Waste Management Authority (NAWMA) Tel. 1800 111 004. Fees apply for this service.
- Additionally, uncontaminated green waste can be delivered to Kuchel Contractors, Siegersdorf Road, Tanunda Tel. 8562 2177. Fees apply.
- Waste Transfer Stations:
- Springton - Williamstown Rd,
- Open 2nd Saturday each month 9am - 3pm
- Fees: Proof of identification is required by rate notice or drivers licence for the resident/ratepayer rate to apply. Tyres and car bodies not accepted.
- Alternative location for Waste Disposal: Residents & property owners may dispose of their waste at Waste Management Pacific (SA) P/L, Pine Dve, Nuriootpa. Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3.15pm & Sat 8:00 - 12 noon. Telephone inquiries: 8562 3114.
