Seven Year Itch for Marilyn Jetty Swim
The Seven Year Itch won’t stop the passionate women behind the Marilyn Jetty Swim,
with 210 swimmers—the largest number to date—set to take part in the annual Marilyn
Jetty Swim today, held as a part of the Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic.

Established in 2014, the Marilyn Jetty Swim sees women (and a few men!) swimming or
paddling 400 metres around the Brighton Jetty—all dressed head to toe as ‘50s icon Marilyn Monroe.

Since the event started the incredible Marilyn’s have raised more than $380,000 for Cancer
Council SA which has gone towards supporting all South Australians impacted by cancer.

This year, they are hoping to raise $120,000 to take their fundraising total to half a million
raised for Cancer Council SA. They are halfway to their target, with $60,000 already raised.

The women are also attempting to break the World Record for the largest gathering
‘Marilyn’s’ in one location, with an additional 80 Marilyn’s cheering the swimmers on from the shore.

Go and support the Marilyns' on the day!
Location: Brighton Beach (prior to the swim, Marilyn’s parade down Jetty Road)
• 10.00am – 10.15am – Marilyn’s parade down Jetty Road with the Navy Band
• 10.30am – Marilyn’s gather at Cancer Council SA Marquee ahead of the swim.
• 10.50am – Marilyn Jetty Swim during the Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic
