SAcommunity Media and Communications Team
Our volunteers and interns write storytelling articles on community organisations located across the state, collecting news and information through phone or zoom interviews, via emails, our online media form as well as collating stories from media releases and other sources to feature on SAcommunity social media channels and event calendars.

These storytelling articles act to create awareness, promote and raise the profile of local community organisations. Introducing the activities, events and services provided by organisations for council and library referrals, opportunities for service partnerships, funding and grants and to encourage community participation and connections.

These articles are attributed to our volunteers and interns to help them build an online portfolio towards job readiness. See some of our volunteers story links far below.

Looking for media articles on organisations operating in your Council area?
Please find a unique link below to assist you to find all SAcommunity Blog articles (current and historical) tagged in your council area to help identify groups and tell stories about the community in your local area, each story itself also has a unique and persistent identifier.

Content from the SAcommunity Blog is shared to our website, with state-wide subscribers in the community sector to our SAcommunity monthly e-News, and across our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

Is your Council a Partner of SAcommunity?
Link SAcommunity to your local government Council & Public Library website pages for your residents. A list of councils currently featuring links to SAcommunity can be found on our About Us page >>here. We can provide you with a copy of the SAcommunity logo and introduction to add to your council community pages to encourage local groups to register their service on the directory.

Linking helps council residents find local groups, organisations and services they can participate in and that will help them. Assists service providers to promote their activities, and provides information for council and library staff for referrals and networks.

SAcommunity also provides councils with their local community service contact information which is available as export data for your council for e-mailouts assisting community communication, consultation, grants, research, partnerships and more.
