A place for Adelaide changemakers to meet

This morning Ben Teoh and I attended a breakfast at The Big Table  at the Adelaide Central Market called #4good brekky.

Sarah Stokely from The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) organised the breakfast to help people who enjoy creating positive social change meet each other. There are a lot of avenues for people to meet who are involved in social media and technology for social good (such as NetSquared Adelaide), but for those who like to "get their hands dirty" by volunteering their time in ways that don't involve the computer it can be difficult to meet people from other sub-sectors within the nonprofit sector. For example, I'm a qualified Librarian, currently working as an Information Manager and I know lots of library staff. I work for a nonprofit organisation, but I'd really like to meet carers, social workers, strategic planners, environmentalists, accountants, doctors, lawyers.

The idea behind this event and others like it, is to give changemakers a chance to connect with other like minded people in a social situation, meet and eat and walk away feeling reinvigorated and like you are not alone.
