For people of all ages seeking seeking support or information regarding the LGBTIQA+ community, whether they are newly identifying as part of this community or know someone who is, or for folk who simply have questions and are seeking more information. Those under 16 years will require caregiver consent for ongoing support.

Founded in 1995, Bfriend is a service of Uniting Communities and provides vital support to individuals, families and communities across South Australia. Bfriend offers as a free service for people identifying as LGBTIQA+ or have questions about sexuality and/or gender identity, their families and friends, and anyone else offering support to someone in this community.

  • Support for newly identifying same-gender attracted, gay, lesbian, bisexual, intersex, and transgender people and those who are exploring their sexuality/gender identity.
  • Support for families, care-givers, school workers and others supporting LGBTIQA+ individuals.
  • Short-term support for newly identifying people from a trained volunteer who is connected with the LGBTIQA+ community - including groups and LGBTIQA+ events.
  • Information and resources - adelaidelgbtevents.webs.com.
  • Community events.
  • Consultancy and training to organisations, government and the community.
