Connecting Up has published A-Z Acronyms SA 2013. This is a free downloadable publication that we produce each year, listing South Australian organisations that have acronyms and abbreviations. People who work in the government and community sectors often use acronyms as a shortcut, but they can prove mystifying to those who don't know their meaning. Please use this publication and let others know about it. We would also be pleased to hear from you if there's an acronym we have missed out.
Tuesday 5 February 2013 is the 10th annual Safer Internet Day! The theme for 2013, online rights and responsibilities reminds us of what it means to be a positive digital citizen. This encompasses privacy, safety, education, respect and balance. You can learn more about your rights and responsibilites on the Cybersmart website.

SAcommunity is continually growing with the submission of new information about community resources. Check out the latest new listings!
2013 has just begun - but let's look back for a few minutes at 2012. This was a big year for SAcommunity because we topped 1 million annual visits to the website. It was good to see that our information is reaching many people and allowing them to find the help they need or become actively involved in community life. We ran our annual survey in December 2012 to find out more about who is using SAcommunity, what they are looking for and what is the resulting impact. Over 700 people responded. Here's a brief summary of what we found:
