Here they can talks to their relevant career mentor, ask prepared questions, and receive valuable feedback, that they can action to achieve their goals.

Mentor meetings aim to provide our volunteers and interns with support in their role and build stronger links with them as members of our team and across our organisation. Yang arranged to meet with Cameron Brown, Web Developer, Infoxchange. Yang has been learning HTML, CSS and Javascript and is very interested in website building and maintenance, and was looking for some practical suggestions and to understand more about Cameron's project experience.

During Yang's recent mentor meeting with Cameron Brown, Web Developer, Infoxchange, on 18 April 2023, he gained some valuable insights that will be helpful in his pursuit of a career as a web developer.

Here are the key takeaways from our mentorship meeting:
1. Cloud computing skills are highly advantageous when applying for developer positions, where AWS is currently more popular than Azure in the industry.
2. For backend development, consider exploring internal alternative tools such as PHP, Python and Pearl.
3. Javascript is an essential core skill for the frontend development. In full-stack positions, familiarity with NodeJs and React is preferred.
4. Machine learning APIs, like ChatGPT, are currently in high demand and represent a popular trend in the field.
5. Building connections can accelerate your career growth, especially in Adelaide.
