International Games Day comes to Salisbury

An international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, and Nordic Game Day.

On Saturday 15 November 2014, Len Beadell Library will be joining over a thousand libraries worldwide for the 7th annual International Games Day – a day full of fun activities with prizes to be won!

People of all ages are invited to participate in a huge range of games and activities including classic games like chess, an international Minecraft tournament and a hunt through the shelves for the ever elusive Wally.

International Games Day @ your library is an initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library & Information Association and Nordic Game Day.

Come along and have a go at the games including:

  • Minecraft Hunger Games: Compete in an international Hunger Games tournament and challenge local players to become your district’s tribute for the chance to battle it out against global players and win one of two tablets.

  • Console games: Pick up a controller and play on our multi-player PS4, PS3 and Wii games.
