Expos in October - linking people to services

Two expos will be held in October, focusing on ageing and disability.

The Disability Information & Resource Centre (DIRC) is presenting the Whyalla Disability and Ageing Expo on Friday 14 October 2011 at the Whyalla Health & Leisure Centre, 5 Racecourse Rd, Whyalla Norrie. This will be a great opportunity to find the latest information on services including advocacy, support , employment, recreation and products in one accessible location. DIRC presents an annual Disability and Ageing Expo in Adelaide and two regional expos each year, so watch out for these in 2012.

At the end of the month, 10am to 2pm on Monday 31 October 2011, the Hills Positive Ageing Taskforce together with Adelaide Hills Community Health Service are holding the inaugural Hills Healthy Ageing Expo at the Adelaide Hills Recreation Centre, Howard Lane, Mount Barker. This will be a free event with information displays, physical activity demonstrations, health tips, presentations, entertainment by Simply Women and Alexandrina Singers.  For more information contact Lisa, tel. 8408 0400 or Debbie, tel. 0439 801 702.
