About Rechner Cottage
Rechner Cottage, built in the mid-1800s in Light Pass, South Australia, is a State Heritage Listed Cottage of architectural and social significance. The simple cottage belonged to Pastor Rechner, who was deeply involved in the Light Pass community, and founded many churches, schools and missions throughout South Australia.

This historic building illustrates many techniques brought over from Europe by skilled craftsmen. With living, stable and storage areas all under one roof, it is a rare Australian example of a German Barnhouse. The cottage has been deteriorating over the years, and the association has been working towards conservation projects and urgently needs funds to finish creating a lasting community legacy.

Conservation Fundraising - David Franz Wines
The David Franz winery has generously donated unique small batch parcels of Barossa wine in support of the Rechner Cottage Conservation effort.  These wines are available at fantastic savings and all proceeds from the sale go to the conservation work on the cottage.

The selection of wines comprises Semillon, Riesling Semillon, Rose, Mataro and Shiraz and details can be found with the Order Form and prices online at www.rechnercottage.com/shop
