Get Ready for the Hottest Event of the Year: Chilli Fest Willunga, February 22-23, 2025!

Mark your calendars for the ultimate spice-filled weekend at Willunga Recreation Park! Whether you're craving something fiery for your taste buds, looking to take home a chilli plant (and learning how to keep it alive), discovering fresh recipes and cooking demos, or just relaxing under the trees with a glass of our famous sangria and live tunes – Chilli Fest Willunga has it all.

Chilli Fest's reputation as the Fleurieu Peninsula's Hottest Event continues to grow, and this year, we’re excited to welcome even more traders! Joining our local favourites like White's Valley Jalapeños, Grunds Gourmet, and Salt Gang, we’ll have our interstaters like Hot Chilli Mama and Edible Alchemy. With over 20 chilli stalls offering everything from hot sauces to pickles and more to spice up your home cooking we cannot wait to see you there.

Need cooking inspiration? Willunga’s very own Norma from Whites Valley Jalapeños, and Sarmi of Origin of Taste, will lead cooking demos on how to make the most of your chillies. And if you’re keen on growing your own, don’t miss our expert advice from Chilli Affliction and Willunga Recreation Park volunteers at our two plant stalls. If your chilli plant from last year didn’t survive, no worries! Get tips on how to cultivate a bumper crop in 2025, join Kym Syrus’s session at the demo stage Saturday morning and Sophie Thomson on Sunday afternoon.

New this year is the SA Chilli Championship, hosted by Chilli Philli from Burnin Bites Down Under! Ten brave contestants will battle it out in a 15-round challenge on Saturday 2:00pm. Starting with jalapeños and working their way up to the notorious Carolina Reapers. The last person standing takes home the title of Chilli Fest Willunga winner, and a chance to be our very own SA Chilli Champion!

Tantalize your taste buds with a range of delicious food options, from pizza and tacos to new chilli biscuits and indulgent ice cream and chocolates. Chill out in the ‘Chill Garden’, enjoying a refreshing local brew or our signature Rec Park sangria while soaking up the tunes of talented local musicians. Shifty Lizard, South Coast Brewing, DogRidge Wines, and more will keep your palate cool, while the music keeps the vibe alive.
