Mother’s Day Classic - Walk, run or volunteer!
There’s still time to register for the Mother’s Day Classic. Choose to walk or run around a 4km or 7km course starting and finishing at Pinky Flat (on the Torrens near Adelaide Oval).
If you can’t join the walk/run?
Would you like to volunteer? Go to the Mother’s Day Classic website and click on the “Volunteer” tab. Volunteer solo or with a group.
Only have a limited time? There is always the need for a cheering crowd along the course!

Government House Open Day – Come and visit
Government House is having an Open Day in conjunction with South Australia’s History Festival.
Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Rod Bunten extend a welcome to all to come and visit Government House and the grounds -
“From 10am-2pm, you will be able to see inside the public rooms of Government House, its history and contemporary workings, and ask questions of knowledgeable guides.
Explore the gardens, taking in the beehives, which produce honey used in the Government House kitchen; the Governor’s Rose Garden, which features a stand of roses celebrating each Governor in our state’s history; the sweeping lawns, vegetable garden and ceremonial plantings, which include a descendent of the Lone Pine at Gallipoli.
Other activities include live music, children’s quizzes, and food and drink vendors”

History Week Event - Crime Fiction: Will it Be the Death of Us?
Enjoy a good crime story? They’ve been around for hundreds of years.
Come along to Payinthi in Prospect on Sunday afternoon to hear author David Kilner’s – “light-hearted and well-illustrated talk, as he examines crime fiction from its origins 200 years ago through the years to contemporary fiction. Along the way, he looks at the impact of film and television on crime writing.”
