The Winter Conversations Series for 2025 has begun at Government House and, as with the previous years, Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, has enlisted some outlasting South Australian’s to join her in conversation and welcomes you to join them.
On Friday 6 June the first conversation ‘Talking about: Entrepreneurs in South Australia’ featured Eloise Hall, Co-Founder of TABOO Period Products, and Ben Colley, General Manager of Stone and Chalk, a start-up and innovation incubator at Lot 14 when they talked about South Australian start-ups and the opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs here in SA.
On Friday 4 July the second in this series will see Her Excellency the Governor, Emma Fey, Deputy Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia and Rachael Azzopardi, Co-Founder of Illuminate Adelaide meet to talk about Courageous Women in the Arts. They will discuss ‘the legacy of pioneering Australian women visual artists, how women continue to carve out space for their creative work, and current exhibitions showcasing their contributions.’
The third and final Winter Conversation for 2025 on Friday 1 August is ‘Talking about: South Australia in Space’. Her Excellency the Governor will be joined by Australian astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg, to talk about how Katherine ‘became the first person to qualify as an astronaut under the Australian flag, the development of South Australia’s space sector, and the future of our state’s space industry.’
