With a range of things to see and do, you will find lost costs for the whole day at the show whether you come alone, as a pair, a group or a family.

The group's secretary Mel Schutz has provided us with some more information about the event:

We have so much to see and do all day for all ages it is a great family fun day out.
We will have live music from the Australian army band.

Our show opener this year is Associate Professor Susan Hazel Susan is a veterinarian and has taught in the School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences at the University of Adelaide since 2006. Susan’s main research interests are in animal behaviour and welfare, with most of her research in dogs. This includes all stages of their lifecycle from puppies to aged dogs and how interactions between dogs and humans impacts both ends of the leash. She is a member of the Dog & Cat Management Board of SA and RSPCA SA and has supervised more than 25 Hons and PhD projects, published almost 100 scientific articles, and is still learning.

A word from the Eudunda Show President, Garry Schutz:

Well just like that, the time of the year where life gets extremely busy is upon us and we decide to throw a show in the mix to keep life interesting. On behalf of the Eudunda and Districts Show Society I would like to extend a warm welcome to you all to the 127th Eudunda Show!

Once again, the Executive Committee and extended volunteers have been working tirelessly to bring us all another fun filled entertaining day and a chance for socialising and building new and continuing friendships. We live in a community that is constantly growing and changing in demographic and there’s times when it feels as if we don’t even know our neighbours 2 doors down the road. The Eudunda Show is a great chance to meet people new to the area and also to build relationships or catch up with old friends. So come along, catch up, grab some tucker and enjoy the entertainment that’s on offer! Like many community run events they don’t just happen. Many hours of correspondence, communication, record keeping and a huge amount of fundraising throughout the year is all just a taste of what goes into making a country show happen. Without these things as well as community grants and our lifeline of sponsors, there would be no show.

So, whether you are a convener, steward, judge, sponsor, exhibitor, volunteer, committee member or even if you just show up on the day we thank you for all you give to the Eudunda Show and you should all feel a part of something pretty special. At this year’s show you’ll see all the good old fashioned favourites of country shows alongside new ideas, new events and activities for all ages to enjoy. The 2025 show theme is “Man’s Best Friend”, predominantly referring to dogs but who would know what people come up with. I don’t recommend bringing a cat but, by all means, bring your dog, especially if it can jump or work sheep in the yard dog trials and there’s even a spot for your snag dogs. Bring on some rain to make the crops grow and some lovely sunshine for show day and we will see you at the Eudunda and Districts 127th Show!
