Call for Volunteer Bus Drivers and Helpers at Prospect Council

Call for Volunteer Bus Drivers and Helpers

Prospect Council is looking for volunteer Bus Drivers and Helpers to assist in delivering a popular and well-utilised bus service for City of Prospect and Walkerville residents.

The volunteers assist with weekday trips between 8.00am and 4.00pm, taking passengers to local shopping centres and on social outings. It’s a great way to help older community members stay active, connected, and independent.

The potential volunteer will need to complete a National Criminal History Record Check and a DHS Aged Care and Working With Children Screening Check, and be able to commit to a roster (with flexible days and times).

Prospect Council is hoping to find people who are:

  • friendly, patient and great with people
  • good communicators
  • respectful of confidentiality
  • reliable, committed and punctual

They will also need good general fitness for this active, hands‑on role.

Alison, the Community and Volunteer Programs Coordinator at Prospect Council, would love to hear from you and also asks if you could “please share this with your family and friends as our best volunteers often come through word of mouth!
