Dogtober

The month of October is dedicated to celebrating your dog! You are invited to organise dog themed events or obtain sponsorship to raise awareness and much needed funds for Assistance Dogs Australia, a not-for-profit organisation that trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to help people with physical disabilities. 

International Day of Older Persons 1 October 2012

The Honourable John Hill MP, Minister for Health and Ageing, will host this year's celebration at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Tuesday 23 October 2012. This event will celebrate the many achievements and valued contributions of older South Australians in this state. Entertainment will include a variety of musical performances that promise to be an unforgettable celebration!

Global Handwashing Day 15 October 2012

Began in 2008 to foster and support a global culture of handwashing with soap, shine a spotlight on the state of handwashing in every country, and raise awareness about the benefits of handwashing with soap.

Sock it to Suicide Week 15-19 October 2012

White Wreath Association encourages everyone to wear bright coloured socks to work or school and donate a gold coin in support of the White Wreath Association to raise awareness of and help to prevent suicide.
