Focus on the arts
With our festival season about to come to an end we have some new listings of arts organisations in SAcommunity.
February and March is festival time in Adelaide - the Festival of Arts, Fringe, Writers Week, WOMAD and DocWeek have all given us the chance to enjoy music, theatre, comedy, visual arts and film.
There are plenty of local arts organisations that give you the opportunity to get involved. Here are some that we have added recently:
- Accompanists Guild of SA - information, events and festivals for accompanists
- Adelaide Youth Orchestras - orchestral training for young musicians
- Fleurieu Festival for the Performing Arts - June 2013 at the arts centre, Port Noarlunga
- Flinders University Art Museum - regular exhibitions
- Frances Folk Gathering - annual festival in February
- Hats Inc. - promoting arts and cultural activities in Auburn
- Ink Pot Arts - workshops in drama, circus and music in Mount Barker
- Move Through Life - dance company for adults
