Free legal information seminars and webcasts
The Legal Services Commission of South Australia provides efficient, affordable, high quality access to justice for thousands of South Australians every year, including those in regional and remote areas, often where there are no other legal service providers.
The Commission’s Community Legal Education Unit aside from presenting legal education and information sessions to both the public and a variety of organisations, will present Free Legal Information Session program from its new city premises at 159 Gawler Place, Adelaide.
Access to justice is central to the mission of the Commission and its Community Legal Education Unit, which works to inform South Australians across the state about their legal rights and responsibilities. The Commission is now pleased to be able to offer those who are unable to attend the live seminar presentations the option of attending online via webcast on their home or office computer.
If you are a member of the public wanting to know more about the law and your support options - or If your clients have legal problems and you wish you knew where and how to refer them for help - this program of information seminars and webcasts will benefit you.
These monthly one hour seminars present, in an easy to understand manner, overviews of legal areas that the Legal Services Commission commonly advise upon – as well as further resources that are available via the Commission.
The first seminar/webcast on 17 April 2014 will provide an overview of Family Law and the Family Law Unit services provided by the Commission.
Online bookings are essential for both seminars and webcasts during 2014. To book or for details about the Free Legal Information Sessions program please visit: www.lscsa2014.eventbrite.com.au or call 8111 5593.
