World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is represented by the colour purple - which denotes wisdom, dignity, idependence and creativity!

Elder abuse is often a hidden problem and includes psychological, financial, social, physical and sexual abuse.

WEAAD is an opportunity to promote action against elder abuse through spreading the message 'there is no excuse for abuse!'

A Kit is  placed on the ARAS website www.sa.agedrights.asn.au to provide you with some ideas on how to raise awareness.  Please register your WEAAD activities by filling in the registration form enclosed in the Kit and email to Karenf@agedrights.asn.au or fax (08) 8232 5377.
