What: SA Healthy Towns Challenge: $50,000 grant for preventative health projects in rural & regional towns - Round 2

Who: Community organisations with an active presence in the town partnered with an external not-for-profit organisation with health & wellbeing sector expertise.

Heard  about SAHealth’s  SA  Healthy Towns  Challenge?

The challenge will provide grants of up to $50,000 for projects which increase health and wellbeing through the prevention of illness and/or injury.
 
Applications should address local health and wellbeing issues. Applications supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in remote and regional communities are encouraged. Five grants are available each year for four years and commenced in 2018-19.
 
Applications for the first round (2018-19) of SA Healthy Towns Challenge grants were provided to 6 recipients with applications for Round 2 now open and will close at 5pm on Monday 15 April 2019.
 
Projects must be short term (up to 12 months) and undertaken in partnership with a not-for-profit organisation with expertise in health and wellbeing. Examples of eligible external partners could include: BeyondBlue, Cancer Council, Diabetes SA, Heart Foundation or a South Australian university.
