Festival of Flowers 27 - 28 April 2019
27 -28 April Festival of Flowers event is on again. As a long standing major show it has something for everyone to enjoy the best of the best in these flower groups; with plant displays and demonstrations, sales and supplies. The 2-day event covers a wide range of Orchids, African Violets, Fuchsias, Bromeliads, Begonias, Pelargoniums and Geraniums, Salvias, Proteas, Carnivorous plants, Cacti and Cottage plants. For a $3.00 entry fee this is excellent value with a giant raffle, refreshments and sausage sizzle onsite.

Passion is intense in preparation for providing the general public and enthusiast alike with a program of information for this event. Of particular interest, are the Cultural Information sessions and potting demonstrations being held by each group - the full timetable is below, check out the Festival of Flowers Facebook page for updates.
Demonstrations in particular provide a great forum to find out more about your plant passion and to learn from the experts. Your questions are welcomed - whether you have a plant problem, or have queries on establishing and maintaining these different plants, don’t be afraid to ask.
The show also provides an opportunity to learn more about the various horticultural clubs and societies in South Australia including: The Orchid Club of South Australia, South Australian Begonia Society, South Australian Geranium and Pelargonium Society, Australian Carnivorous Plant Society, Bonsai Society of SA, African Violet Society of South Australia Inc. and the Cactus & Succulent Society of SA.
