The Proms is an eight-week event of orchestral music held in London over the summer. The biggest night of this series is the ‘Last Night of the Proms’, with the first half featuring popular pieces with the second half becoming quite patriotic.
 
The ‘Last Night of the Proms’ is the inspiration for our ‘Proms in the South’ Concert, with plenty of great music and British spirit. We will be joined by the Southern Singers who will add another dimension to some of our pieces with vocals, and saxophonist Dominic Meehan performing ‘Csardas’ supported by the band.
 
The ‘Proms in the South’ will be a classy event with the band dressing up to suit the occasion. We encourage all our Friends of the Band to do the same!
