National Diabetes Week 14 - 20 July 2019

What: National Diabetes Week 2019 - ‘A prescription for health and wellbeing’.
Who: Diabetes SA
When: 14-20 July 2019

The 14th - 20th July is National Diabetes Week, a campaign to raise diabetes awareness and understanding. The campaign serves to recognise the 6.1% of the South Australian community diagnosed with diabetes and learn about how we can empower people to live well through early detection, prevention (of type 2) and management.

This year's theme is 'a prescription for health and wellbeing' to encourage people to plan for their own health and wellbeing, set goals and follow the diabetes annual cycle of care in the Diabetes Management Guidebook available on the Diabetes SA website >>here. Goals include healthy eating, physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, managing your medications, reducing stress and having regular check-ups with your doctor.
