The Australian Plants Society Spring Sale at Urrbrae Agricultural High School on Saturday October 29 2022
The annual Flower Shows and Plant Sales have been highlights of the year for the Australian Plants Society SA for more than 50 years. Part our aim as a society is to bring the beauty of Australian Plants to the attention of the public, and to encourage them to grow Australian Plants in their gardens.
The Society was providing Australian plants of excellent quality, both to help restore biodiversity for Landcare projects and to sell to the public at an economic price when native plants were not readily available. We continue to offer rare plants and local plants which may not be available elsewhere.
This year for the first time we will be holding the sale at Urrbrae High School rather than the Showgrounds where it has been held for several decades. We will continue the Farmers Market style which we started at the 2022 Autumn Sale. Buyers will be able to meet and chat to the growers and to obtain information about what to grow where from the growers and from members of the society at the help desk. Free Soil testing will also be available.
We hope to have many people attend the sale to purchase plants and hard to find books, to enjoy the flower displays, and check out the offerings of invited stall holders which include the Native Orchid Society and Wood Turners.
