Prospect Spring Fair
Come along and join all the fun of the Prospect Spring Fair, a day of entertainment and activities for the whole family, with community groups, creatives and performers. Featuring music, rides, sports, food, arts and crafts for purchase and so much more!

This popular annual event hosted by the City of Prospect local government council and with the participation of a vast range of community group stallholders, draws people of all ages and interests to the open oval.

For community organisations
If you're a community service organisation, annual community fairs are great ways to promote and raise awareness of your group or cause, particularly if you pair that information about yourselves with a family-friendly activity or with the produce/crafts your group makes, or with a demonstration of your sport, dance etc. all of which helps to start a conversation and meet supporters, potential members, and encourage public participation.

In previous years we've seen the local Croquet club set up a makeshift mini field game for people to 'come and try', or local dance clubs demonstrate their latest routines, the Men's Shed display and sell their wooden toys and wares, or Community Garden groups hold plant-sales, seeds or produce or Craft guilds and knitting clubs feature displays and have kits or materials such as wool for purchase.

For the community
If you're living locally or just passing through, visit a community fair and find out more about the diverse range of community services in your region. It's a great chance to talk to people in groups you might be interested in or have never heard of, and to find out more about the range of social groups and activities happening near you - and have some fun while you are there!
