Women's football is one the fastest growing participation sports in Australia. The success of our National team, the Matildas, and the establishment of a National club-based competition (the W-League) ensure a strong development path for young girls entering the sport. As interest in the sport is increasing so is the profile of South Australia's local club scene. Cumberland United is one of the first, and most successful, Adelaide-based women's clubs.
