Sixth Creek Catchment Group is an environmentally focused community group involving interested landowners and friends along the catchment. The group provides leadership for on ground action and projects that rehabilitate and improve the catchment and riparian zones of Sixth Creek principally by exotic plant removal and revegetation with endemic species.

The group is completely reliant on funding to carry out these projects and since 1998, has been fortunate to receive funding and grants through National Heritage Trust & National Action Plan, NRM Community Action Grants, Adelaide Hills Council, Green Army support and private donations.
