The Working Women's Centre SA Inc (WWC SA) which opened in 1979, provides a service which supports women employees whatever their age, ethnicity or work status, by providing a free and confidential service on work related issues. The Centre works primarily with women who are not represented by a union, their own lawyer or other advocate.

Services
  • Information, support and advocacy to women who work, or who are seeking work, on work related issues such as unfair or unlawful termination, negotiating contracts of employment, wages and working conditions, health issues at work, sexual harassment, workplace bullying and discrimination
  • Project work on issues such as outwork, workplace bullying, work and family, rehabilitation and return to work after injury and the impact of domestic violence on women workers and their workplaces
  • Training and information sessions to schools, TAFE, universities, organisations and community groups
  • Referral to other agencies
