Aims to enhance the quality and extent of opportunities for participation and foster continued sustainability of the industry, as well as providing targeted strategies and support for specific populations, including the development of high performance athletes.

- 1. RECREATION & SPORT DEVELOPMENT
- Develops, conducts, facilitates and coordinates programs, services, information and networks for the community and the active recreation and sport industry
- Promotes the benefits and opportunities associated with participation in active recreation and sport
- 2. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN SPORTS INSTITUTE
- Provides assistance, facilities and training programs to develop top level athletes and coaches
- Financial assistance and support to aspiring athletes through scholarship programs
- 3. INFRASTRUCTURE AND FUNDING SERVICES
- Management of Hindmarsh Stadium, Adelaide Super-Drome, Santos Stadium, Women's Memorial Playing Fields, shooting venues, State Association House, Eagle Mountain Bike Park and other sporting and recreation facilities
- Information on major sporting and recreation facilities; hosting visiting teams and athletes
- Administration and management of ORS Grant programs
- Management of the recreation and sport strategic infrastructure projects
- Administration of Boxing and Martial Arts Legislation
