Originally located overlooking the Queens Square park in the Moonta township, the Hospital relocated its present position and officially opened on the 5th May 1991 and consisted of the Moonta Jubilee Hospital, the Moonta Community Nursing Home and the Moonta Primary Care Unit.
The Moonta Jubilee Hospital's name was changed in November 1990 to Moonta Health & Aged Care Service.
The hospital operates as a private hospital serving the community of the Copper Triangle and surrounding districts.
