Mon - Fri 8.30am – 5pm
Eligibility:
Frail older people, aged 65 and over living independently in the community; Aboriginal and Torrens Strait Islander (ATSI) who are aged 50 or over.
A person who no longer drives or has difficulty accessing public transport.
A person who is socially isolated.
Promote, provide and support independence, enabling people to live at home and participate in their community. We support people to work to their strengths which enhances wellbeing and Independence.

A volunteer assisted service for people who need someone to stand beside them. The City of Marion volunteer will pick up, transport and accompany the person to and/or from medical or allied health appointments/activities, shopping and banking needs, friendly visiting or social outings to enjoy a lunch or coffee and a chat.

The social support program also provides a volunteer to visit people who are isolated and/or house bound for social interaction, emotional support, reading/completing non-legal forms and letters.
