Eligibility:
Post Care Support Service: People who have lived in out-of-home care and/or placed under the Guardianship of the Minister in South Australia as a child for more than six months
Find & Connect Service: Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants who were in care in Australia between 1920 and 1989
Redress Support Services: People who experienced sexual abuse as children (>18 yrs) in institutional contexts before the commencement of the Redress Scheme (1 July 2018)

The support services available at Elm Place are specifically intended for Forgotten Australians, Former Child Migrants, the Stolen Generations and people affected by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Services
  • Post Care Support Services - Provides information, advocacy, case management and counselling to help people who have lived in out-of-home care and/or placed as a child under the Guardianship of the Minister in South Australia
  • Find and Connect Support Services - Support to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants by providing counselling, help with records/family searches and for family reunions
  • Redress Support Services - Supports people contemplating or going through the National Redress Scheme, which is for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse
  • The Stolen Generations Support Service - Working through the ongoing intergenerational trauma felt by The Stolen Generations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families as a result of past Australian government policies during the late 1800s to the 1970s)
