Overview: Field Definition and Scope
Venue Availability refers to venues and facilities associated with an organisation that are available for community use. Providing a physical description of the venue, available facilities and usage requirements.

Examples of venues include Community Halls, Community Centres, Meeting Rooms and/or facilities such as parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, theatres etc.
 

Data Conventions & Standards
MARC 21 Format for Community Information Data
 defines conventions for community information records and contains descriptions of the data elements and examples.

Note:
 If the Venue is the record and not a subfield of an organisation's record/listing, the Name and Location, Disability Access and Contact Person and Details are recorded as part of the main record fields. Venues associated with an organisation can also be listed as a separate record and linked to the organisation (under contacts -  Branch address for the parent body and Parent body for the Venue) for clarity if required.

General description of facilities:
Type of meeting room, venue or facility
For example: community hall, meeting room, tennis court, oval, swimming pool

Name and location
Name of the hall, meeting room or available facility and the address (if separate from the listing) 
For example: CWA Hall, 123 Wright Street, Adelaide 5001

$Availability: Mon - Fri 10am - 5pm

Physical description
Physical description of the hall, meeting room or facility
Dimensions (L x W): Length and Width of main room in metres. For example: 20x10 metre dance square
Floor Area (m2): In square metres. For example: 200m2 floor area
Features: Comma separated list of features.
For example: Stage, dance floor, carpeted, courtyard, playground, diving board, cricket pitch

Capacity
Information as to the capacity of the meeting room or facility
Number of people. For example: 200

Equipment available:
Information as to the equipment that is available for use at the venue
Chairs Number of chairs available. For example: 100 chairs
Tables: Number of tables available. For example: 10 tables
Comma separated list of equipment. 
For example: Piano, lighting, audio or A/V system, Wi-Fi, whiteboard, projector and screen, power outlets, air conditioner/heaters

Facilities:
Information as to the facilities and appliances available at the venue.
Kitchen facilities and appliances (Comma separated list of facilities and appliances). 
For example: Kitchen, bar, sink, dishwasher, crockery and cutlery, oven, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer

Toilet Facilities:
Number of toilets available. For example: 6 (includes male, female and disabled toilets)

Parking Facilities: 
Number of on-site car parking spaces. For example: 12
Identify parking restrictions. For example: on-street 2hr parking limits

Rental fee: Contact the service for details


Restrictions: 

Special restrictions regarding the rental or use of the meeting room, facility, and/or equipment. Comma separated list of restrictions.
For example: Local community and not-for-profit group hire only
Not suitable for parties (birthdays, graduations etc.), noise restrictions apply
