Still yellow, but looking a little bit different for 2011
The 2011 Directory of Community Services has been published and to commemorate this edition and our refreshed cover page we'd like to share some of our older directory covers with you.
Let's go back to 1976 and take a look at the Directory of Social Welfare Resources: South Australia.
This bound and glued red cardboard cover was replaced by a plastic ring binder folder sometime in the late 1970s and went through a variety of title changes, from the Directory of Social Welfare Resources to the Directory of Community Services which is its present day title.
For the last 8 years you'll have become familiar with this directory cover, featuring Captain Infosearch. He didn't have much of a presence anywhere else on the CISA website or the Infosearch website, but he was there on the front of your directory to help you find the information that you needed. Captain Infosearch came up for retirement this year and he's now enjoying his leisure time. Perhaps he knew that Organiser Girl had been recruited and he felt that his time had come :-).
The 2011 Directory has a fresh new modern look and we're excited to let you know that you can get your copy of it online from Service SA. If you discover that your organisation's details need to be updated for the next edition and the website, then please look for your organisation online at SAcommunity and update your listing. If you'd like to list your organisation in SAcommunity and the Directory of Community Services then you can find our eligibility criteria here.
