"Flavia draws on her many community connections as a volunteer for SAcommunity and has been a volunteer for over 5 years, 3 months. Flavia attended the City of Prospect council fair on the 29 October 2022 (and attends annually) to contact and update local group details and inform them of SAcommunity. Through her local contacts and relationship building with groups such as Rotary, Prospect Community Garden and other NFPs in the council area and beyond, she has kept these groups informed and updated on SAcommunity and Connecting Up services, and published these NFPs stories, activities and events through SAcommunity media."
Stathis Avramis's peer wrote the following for his nomination:
"Since August 2020, Stathis Avramis our SAcommunity volunteer has been running the Data Analytics Team. He has developed and documented procedures and trained volunteers and interns to use Power BI and Canva to present SAcommunity web analytics reports for local councils. The creation of these visual reports assists in cleaning the database, building council relationships and understanding the SA community sector. In addition, in July 2022 Stathis created and completed a Python program to handle Excel artefacts and mojibake in the SAcommunity data exports, saving hours by staff in allowing the cleaning of data exports in minutes. He is consistently examining ways to improve the data presented and data analytics program through coding and helping each new wave of students. Thank you."
