My Volunteer Experience - Chris Baldwin

Welcome Chris!
Chris Baldwin joined our SAcommunity Information Team as a volunteer, beginning with the team this year on the 13 September 2023. He is a recently retired senior Naval Officer who has served in the Royal Australian Navy for 45 years.
 
He attends for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office, joining several of our team members in the SAcommunity program with extensive work/life experience: Rex Porter, Flavia, David Webb, Malcolm and Stathis Avramis.

My Volunteer Experience - Malcolm

Malcolm's 10 years of loyal service was recognised at the All Staff Town Hall on 2 November 2023. Congratulations!

SAcommunity wanted to highlight our affection for 'the old guard' our experienced and established SAcommunity veterans. People who make up our core team, return regularly each week to volunteer and keep the service running. They assist in decision-making, idea development and implementation, check and create processes, and critically, help our new volunteers and interns find their feet. We felt we were more than overdue to introduce, acknowledge and thank some of our team members.

My Volunteer Experience - Daisy Fangqiang Shan

Daisy Fangqiang Shan joined our Data Analytics Team as a volunteer, whilst she studies her Masters at University beginning with the team this year on the 20 September 2023.
 
She attends for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office joining several of her other classmates in the SAcommunity program: Thiya Shiye Jin and Alice Jinye Zeng.

Adelaide University Internship Experience - Kane Hengchuan Zhao

Kane Hengchuan Zhao joined our SAcommunity Data Analytics Team for his University of Adelaide SET (Sciences, Engineering and Technology) Internship for his Master of Data Science Trimester 3, 2023: 12 September 2023 - 24 November 2023.

He is completing a 270 hour internship onsite with SAcommunity at the Connecting Up Office, Infoxchange for 3 days (22.5 hours) a week for ~12 weeks around his classes.

Thea Shiye Jin joined our Data Analytics Team as a volunteer, whilst she studies her Masters at University beginning with the team this year on the 26 July 2023.
 
She has attended for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office joining several other students from the course and from related university subjects in the SAcommunity program, and has now retired from the program as she focusses on her career.

Alice Jingyi Zeng joined our Data Analytics Team as a volunteer, whilst she studies her Masters at Adelaide University, beginning with the team this year on the 26 July 2023.
 
She attends for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office joining several of her other classmates from similar disciplines who are also volunteering in the SAcommunity program.

Pujan Maharjan joined our SAcommunity Data Analytics Team as a volunteer, whilst he completes his Masters of Artificial Intelligence at Adelaide University. He started with the team on the 26 July 2023 and attends for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office around his classes.

Frank Xiufeng Shi joined our SAcommunity Data Analytics Team as a volunteer, whilst he undertakes his Masters in Data Science at Adelaide University, starting with the team on the 1 August 2023.
