Rhubarb and Orange Crumble

Rhubarb

 

Serves 8-10

Preparation time; 20 or less

Ingredients

2 bunches of rhubarb
4 cooking apples
2 oranges
¾ cup of sugar

Crumble topping

½ cup of melted butter
200gram brown sugar
¾ cup of plain flour
Pinch of cinnamon

Method

  1. String rhubarb and cut into 3cm long pieces.
  2. Peel, core and slice apples
  3. Peel, cut and slice the oranges
  4. Place all the fruit in a oven proof dish
  5. Add sugar and ½ of water into the dish.
  6. Baked in the oven on a moderate temperature for an approximately 40 minutes till rhubarb is soft.


Crumble Topping
 

  1. Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Sprinkle topping over the fruit and pat down firmly.
  3. Bake in a moderate oven for 25 minutes.
  4. Serve.
