The Waite Conservation Reserve is open to the public from dawn to dusk every day except on Total Fire Ban Days for the Mt Lofty Ranges fire district.

The Friends of Waite Conservation Reserve is a group of volunteers who work with the University of Adelaide to maintain and improve the natural value of the reserve and the visitor experience.

Services
- Volunteers assist in plant propagation and bush-care
- Working bees are held in the reserve, 9am to midday, 1st Sat and 3rd Sun of each month, from April to December
