Adults. Members are required to complete a Basic Seamanship Course and undertake rostered duties

A national volunteer organisation that promotes safety in the operation of small craft. The South Australia Squadron comprises flotillas based at Kangaroo Island, North Haven, O'Sullivan Beach, Port Augusta and Port Vincent

Services
- Radio monitoring of marine distress frequencies
- Safety patrols - association and member owned vessels patrol waterways assisting the public with safe boating advice, mechanical problems and responding to distress calls
- Search and rescue - in cooperation with Water Police and other volunteer rescue organisations
- Education and training - offers courses in small boat handling, marine radio and coastal navigation
