The Rechner Cottage Conservation Association was formed in 2018 after the wider Rechner family was made aware of the state of dilapidation of the historically significant cottage located in Light Pass, and the need for urgent conservation action.
The association activity includes managing and oversight of the staged conservation process as well as fundraising and community representation and education of the significance of this Heritage listed cottage, built in the mid 1800s, on property owned by G.J. Rechner. The cottage is located in Light Pass, a settlement in the Barossa Valley region.
