YWCA First Nations Women's Leadership One Day Workshop 12 February 2025

First Nations Women's Leadership Program (FNWLP) supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to recognise and draw on their inherent knowledge and leadership skills and connect with others, and to become strong advocates for and within their community.
 

This 1-day workshop is a creative, fun packed group experience for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, aged 16-30 who have lived experience or generational impacts of housing insecurity, homelessness, and/or family and domestic violence. 

This workshop will support you to: 
• Take charge and create your future vision.
• Let go of the past and build strong connections.
• Further your interest in self development.
• Take part in a free all day group experience with creative activities that can support you to build a strong future.

The Program is for you if you are:
A First Nations young woman between the ages of 16 - 30 years.
• You have a passion for leadership and are ready for a new start!
• Your ready to let go of the past and create a vision for the future.
• You have an interest in self development and identifying your generational strengths.
• Would like to build meaningful connections with those who have similar stories.
• Are willing to take part in a free all day group experience with creative activities that can support you to build a strong future.

The 1-day Workshop involves supporting you in:
• Goal setting
• What are values??
• Action steps
• Support your leadership capacity by creating a clear future vision.

• Create a vision board and learn about its benefits.
• Grow your confidence.
• Know the next step forward to implementing your vision.
• Cultivate your inner strengths.
• Connect with others with similar experiences.
• Stop imposter syndrome!
