Where does your cat go? Ask Cat Tracker!

Cat Tracker is part of Discovery Circle, UniSA’s Citizen Science initiative

Ever wondered where your cat ventures to? Now is your chance to find out, by participating in the University of South Australia’s new project: Cat Tracker.

The project is being led by Dr Philip Roetman from the Discovery Circle, UniSA’s Citizen Science initiative. The project is designed for cat owners and school classes to get involved.

'We’ll provide GPS tracking devices for cat owners in South Australia. They are easy-to-use, and will help people discover the places their cats visit.' Dr Roetman says.

KESAB environmental solutions

Sustainable behavioural change for a better environment

KESAB environmental solutions (formerly Keep South Australia Beautiful) was established in 1966. KESAB staff work with the South Australian community: government, business and industry, community and schools.  KESAB has many programs that we deliver to support and educate local communities to encourage sustainable behavioural change. KESAB focuses on waste and recycling, litter reduction, water conservation and natural environment restoration through education and engagement.

Programs and services we deliver include:

HATs - Heritage, Arts & Traditions

Promoting and developing living cultural traditions

HATS is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and develops living cultural traditions in the Clare Valley. HATS has transformed the historic Auburn Courthouse, where little had taken place in the past 30 years, into a thriving centre for arts performance and activity. In doing so HATS has created a new model for delivering arts to regional South Australia.

Since its launch in 2011, HATS has been recognised with several awards including the Ruby Arts Award 2013 for Excellence in the Arts.

St John's Youth Services - turning lives around

Ensuring that disadvantaged young people have opportunities

St John’s Youth Services does more than provide homeless young people with a roof over their heads. It connects young people to communities, and to opportunities that enable them to turn their lives around.

Since its establishment in 1982, St John’s Youth Services has provided shelter, support and a brighter future for more than 9000 young people and almost 1000 small dependent children. Over that time, it has transformed from a small service running a six-room lodge with shared facilities, to an award winning and internationally recognised service operating individual apartment based accommodation for young people in crisis.
