To continue the International Volunteer Day blogs, Connecting Up Inc. felt we should introduce you to some more of our wonderful volunteers, many who have been with us for a year or more and a couple for only a month or two. We wanted to include Brooke's story, Brooke is formerly from our Monday group.

Brooke Lloyd

Brooke has volunteered for Connecting Up since September 2019 and recently moved into a full-time paid position [Editors Note: Congratulations Brooke!]. She began volunteering at Connecting Up to discover how the organisation makes a difference for people wishing to learn more about their community, as well as hone the skills she developed while studying a double degree in Media and Arts at the University of Adelaide. During her time, she wrote a Christmas Pageant Guide to help people engage with the festivities happening in their local community. This can be found on the blog here: https://sacommunity.org/node/621. We would also like to thank Brooke for returning to volunteer offsite on the weekends in January 2020 to assist us to update services affected by the bushfires.
