10-16 July is National Diabetes Week, Diabetes SA  explains their organisation’s role in the South Australian community and the importance of the week ahead.

 

 

Diabetes SA aims to support all people living with diabetes through the provision of education and information. Whether newly diagnosed or having had diabetes for some time people turn to our organisation for support to manage their condition. We understand the daily challenges the condition presents.

Men's Sheds: The Barossa Valley Tinkers Shed

The Australian Men’s Shed Association represents Men’s sheds in Australia. They are funded by the Federal Government and provide ”practical support, specialised services and resources” for registered men’s sheds.

The Palliative Care Council of South Australia (PCSA) is the peak body for palliative care in South Australia. The not for profit organisation is dedicated to supporting people living with terminal illness and those who care for them. National Volunteer Week 9-15 May 2016

This year, National Volunteer Week runs from Monday 9th – Sunday 15th May, and the theme for 2016 is ‘Give Happy. Live Happy.’

More than 6 million Australian volunteers give happiness to others each year by volunteering – and research says that those volunteers are happier as a result.
